God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Festival of Lights & Brunch at the Whitney

We enjoyed going to Greenfield Village for the Festival of Lights.  Liam really enjoyed going into all the historic buildings and learning about how they made things long ago.  Everything was decorated so beautifully.  The kids enjoyed hot chocolate and a carousel ride.  It was rainy and cold, but that didn't stop the kids from having fun.  There was a Lego display, which Liam really loved!

The next day we went to brunch at the Whitney after church.  The food was excellent.  Lilly loved all the food, but Liam especially loved the red velvet pancakes.  The kids loved exploring the house and looking at all the neat decorations and furniture.  Lilly and her bitty baby wore their matching dresses.

Michigan Christmas

We had a wonderful time at Michigan Christmas.  The kids got along well and enjoyed playing with each other and sharing presents.  We had great food and made some great memories.
waiting patiently for cousins to arrive so they can open presents

Family Christmas

We woke up on our Christmas morning (December 24th), opened gifts, and enjoyed brunch before heading up to Grandma Kusch's house for Christmas.  The kids were very appreciative of their gifts.  We loved being able to celebrate Christmas in our new house as a family.

Christmas Eve

We've started a family tradition that on our Christmas Eve (December 23rd) we take the kids to Build A Bear to make a bear.  The bear is supposed to help them sleep better.  The kids also open one gift that evening, which includes pajamas.  Liam made an Incredible Hulk Bear and put him in a Purdue uniform.  Lilly made a Frozen Bear with a pink skirt and Frozen t-shirt.

December 2015

December was crammed full with as much activity as possible.  However, we enjoy getting ready for Christmas as a family.
Lilly "helped" Grandma Kusch decorate her tree.  She liked to put all the same type of ornament on one limb.

The kids have used my tub more than I have.

I got to babysit Verona and Hudson so Rick and Anna could go to a work party.  I thoroughly enjoyed Hudson cuddles!

Annual baking weekend was a success!

Busy schedules = tired kids

Liam and Lilly each decorated their own nutcracker.  They turned out really well!

The kids attended Dad's Christmas Open House at his office.  They were so well behaved and of course the center of attention.

Lilly's gift from her school - dress up clothes

We don't usually shop at Meijer, so this was a first.

The kids helped bake and decorate Christmas cookies.  They did a great job.

Liam and Grandma Kusch made a Minion Gingerbread house together.

Liam's Christmas Program and Emanuel

We drove over to Warsaw and met up with my Aunt Gloria, Uncle David, and my cousins Amanda and Jillian.  Jillian's kids, Lorelei and Lucy get along really well with our kids.  When they get together it is like no time has passed at all since they've been together.

Play Date with the Rohde girls.  Liam and Lilly have really missed seeing them regularly.

Over Christmas break we went to Science Central.

Grandma Kusch sent the kids tis giraffe for their play room!
