God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Hawaii Vacation Day #2

April 21st, 2014
We started our first full day in Hawaii with an early start.  We never did get on Hawaii time.  As soon as the kids were awake, Dave took them for a walk around the resort to explore.  We enjoyed the day by swimming in the pools.  Liam loved the water slides.  Lilly loved the splash pad area with Verona.  I got to visit the spa with my mom and had the best massage I've ever gotten.  We had dinner at the resort's buffet restaurant.  The food was amazing!  Liam was sound asleep by 6pm.  After tucking Liam in and leaving him in Grandma & Grandpa's care, we took Lilly for a walk to watch the sunset.

"Yay, we're in Hawaii!"

Instead of leis, the kids got necklaces.  Liam was a little disappointed, because he really wanted a necklace made of nuts like the guys.  Thankfully, Grandpa shared his, since he already had one.

Hawaii Vacation Day #1

Every other year my family goes to Disney World.  My parents are Disney Vacation Club Members, so we usually stay in one of the resorts on Disney property.  This year instead of going to Disney World we decided to go to the Aulani Disney Resort on Oahu.  This year Dave and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary and Rick and AnnaMaria are celebrating their 5th anniversary.  Dave and I went to Maui for our honeymoon.  It was nice to get back to where it all started.  Aulani is an incredible resort - the nicest one we have ever been to.  We made so many memories.  The kids were also fantastic travelers.  We were very blessed with how well the trip went.

Day #1 - We broke up the trip into two flights.  We started our vacation on Easter Sunday, flew to LA, let the kids run around, ate, put the kids in the pajamas, and then flew from LA to Honolulu.  The kids slept the entire second flight.  They loved having individual TVs on the seats in front of them.  We packed plenty of snacks and activities for them, but didn't need most of them. We arrived in Oahu late Easter evening, rented the vans, and drove to the resort.  After settling in, we all went to sleep.  The kids only slept about 5 hours the first night, but they had already been sleeping about 5 hours on the plane.

Liam loves flying!  He especially love take-off and landing.
