God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
"God's gifts put man's best dreams to shame".

We started the basement... finally!

Grandpa Herman found a turtle in his yard.  He brought it over to show the kids.  The kids decided to let it go by the pond.

Liam and Lilly got glasses.  We learned that Liam is near sighted and Lilly is far sighted.

Lilly had tutoring during the summer, so Luke played at the closest parks while she was in class.

With construction going on in the basement... we took day trips to scape the chaos.

Girls' Weekend in Traverse City

For my 40th birthday, I told mom I would like to take a trip.  I wanted a get away with Jillian, my cousin, AnnaMaria, my sister-in-law and mom.  We would also celebrate Anna's birthday a little late.  Mom picked a weekend get-away to Traverse City.  We stayed at a hotel that had a spa.  We were also close to wineries.  We enjoyed both and the cute little down town shops and great food.  It was a relaxing weekend!

We had dinner on the top floor of the hotel.  It had fabulous views.
