After leaving Mackinac we traveled along the coast by lake Michigan towards Traverse City to Great Wolf Lodge. Great Wolf Lodge had so much to do. The kids loved the water park. Liam went down every single slide multiple times. They were able to make their own stuffed animal and their own wand. The wand made things around the hotel talk and 'come to life'. The kids were able to go on a quest and slay imaginary dragons with their wands. The kids also got to meet some of the characters and watch the clock and stuffed animals in the lobby come to life and sing. There was a section to color, play, and do art projects. Our room was neat too. The kids bunk bed was in a wolf's den. The kids' stuffed animals also allowed them to go on an interactive scavenger hunt through the lodge.

Pure Michigan Vacation - Mackinac Island
We spent three days and two nights at Mackinac Island and did about every activity possible. We walked and shopped through town, we went to the fort, we rode bikes around the island, and took a tour on a carriage. The kids had never been there before and they enjoyed all of it. Liam especially loved being pulled by dad with the bike around the island. He didn't want it to end. He also helped clean the canon at the fort.
Pure Michigan Vacation - Frankenmuth & Mackinac
We started our vacation with a weekend at Grandma Kusch's house, which meant the kids did a lot of swimming.
Monday morning we drove to Frankenmuth at walked around Bronner's. Then we ate lunch at Zhender's. While we waited for our food Liam and Lilly practiced their picture taking skills.
We drove the rest of the way to Mackinaw City, hopped on the ferry and went to Mackinac Island. Once we settled into the hotel we explored the island until it got dark.
