God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
"God's gifts put man's best dreams to shame".

Meeting Luke

Today was the day that we met our son in person for the first time.  I was so nervous and excited all morning.  I could feel my heart in my throat.  As we sat in the room and waited for him to arrive with his foster mother, other kids were arriving with the foster parents.  When we finally saw him in the doorway we jumped up and rushed to him.  Luke, of course, just wanted to play with all the toys!  He ran around the room, climbed on the chairs and stairs, fell a couple times, and was curious about everything else going on.  We were able to hold him some and we did keep his attention with bubbles.  It was a sweet meeting.  We were able to ask his foster mom some questions.  We learned that he likes the cartoon Pororo (especially the little penguin) and throws little fits if he doesn't get his way - we witnessed that.  He likes to throw the ball and has a good arm.  He always has to have something in his hands at all times.  He reminds us so much of Liam at that age.  Their curious, busy personalities are so similar.
