God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
"God's gifts put man's best dreams to shame".

England, Days #1-2 - July 16th - 17th

On Sunday, July 13th we arrived at the Detroit Airport after spending the night at Grandma Kusch's house. We met up with our group from CLHS. Unfortunately, our flight from Detroit to Newark was cancelled. We waited five hours at the airport to rebook flights. We thought we had flights lined up. We and 16 other people from the group stayed the night at Grandma Kusch's house and went back to the airport the following morning. There was a problem with our ticket reservations and we weren't able to fly to Edinburgh. We were finally able to get flights from Detroit to Chicago and then to London. We would have to miss the first part of our trip to Edinburgh. We flew to Chicago. Once in Chicago, there was a tornado warning. We had to shelter in the tunnel of the airport. Once the tornado finally passed, we boarded the plane. We had to sit on the runway for over two hours before we could take off. Once in the air we had a great flight. We landed in London about lunch time and then drove three hours to Chester, England. We ate dinner at the hotel and then slept... in a bed! It was wonderful.

On the morning of July 17th, we woke up and took a tour of Chester. It was a cute town to visit. It was a Roman City and still had the wall, which we walked around. Then we visited the Cathedral & the gift shop. We boarded the bus and drove to York. Once at York, we visited York Minster. Then, we visited the only in-tact medieval town. Most historical towns were ruined in the blitz.
