God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
"God's gifts put man's best dreams to shame".

Baden Springs Hotel, French Lick

Dave and I have been so bust lately that we haven't spent much time together.  We decided to take a weekend away and reconnect.  Grandma Kusch was willing to watch the kids for us, so we could get away for a night.  We stayed at the beautiful, newly renovated West Baden Springs Hotel.
We enjoyed a leisurely drive down, a nice dinner at the steak house, a walk through the grounds, time in the hot tub, and we slept in.  It was the perfect weekend!

We stopped by Indiana University on the way home

Liam's First Day of 2nd Grade

Liam is still adjusting to getting up early.  He likes to go to bed late and sleep in, which he does in the summer.  Even though he was a bit tired, he was excited to see his friends and start school.

Liam gets to hang out in my classroom until the bell rings, which he thinks is very cool

We had visitors at the end of the day.  Grandma & Grandpa Herman stopped by to check out the new school.  Grandpa and Liam posed by the old school bell (which was used in 1920 - Grandpa's Mom used to hear the bell ring when she was in school)

Lilly's First Day of Kindergarten

Last night Lilly had an open house at school.  She got to meet her teacher Mrs. Warning and see her classroom.  She was excited to be in her classroom and especially excited that her teacher gave her a package of goldfish.  We came straight from ballet, so Lilly was still in her leotard and tights.

Lilly was so excited to go to school today!
