God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
"God's gifts put man's best dreams to shame".

Family Vacation Day #2 - Legoland

What an awesome day!  We started the day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel that had something for everyone.  We headed to the park when it opened and went straight back to the new Ninjago section.  Liam was really excited to see this section.  It was under construction when we were here in 2016.  The kids enjoyed a lot of rides.  Lilly is tall enough for almost all of them.  Liam is tall enough to ride everything, even the largest roller coaster, which he managed to ride twice with Dave before the rain came.  The rain started just as we were heading back to the hotel anyway.  We stayed in the room to dry off a bit and then Dave took the kids to the pool again.  We made some great family memories today!

Liam did an excellent job driving his boat - Lilly... we may need to work on that!

Virtual reality glasses to wear during the ride - awesome!

Some day Dave will forgive me for making him wear matching shirts.  (It's our first full day, and I've got matching in store for the whole vacation!)

Lego movies are on an endless loop.  The kids built their complimentary Lego set and watched Lego Batman while they dried off.

Family Vacation Day #1 - Legoland

We had a great travel day.  We flew out of the Detroit airport to Orlando.  Everyone did well on the flight - it was short and sweet.  We then rented our minivan and drove to Legoland.  We stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the extras the hotel offers.  The kids love the giant Legos in the pool and all the Lego things to do in the lobby.  They were very creative with their constructions in the pool.  After supper Liam attended a Master Builder class.  He made a walrus and got to keep it at the end.  Then, he attended a little bit of the pajama party in the lobby.  Lilly was ready for bed right after supper.  It was a full day!

Lilly's 7th Birthday

Lilly wanted a Puppy Party this year.  Because we were going on vacation right after her birthday, we decided to do two smaller parties.  We took Grandma & Grandpa Herman out to eat to celebrate Carol & Lilly's Birthdays.  Then we came back to out house for dessert.  We also celebrated in Michigan.  Jillian and her girls, Lorelei and Lucy, were up, so we after a trip to the zoo we had a party for both Lorelei and Lilly.  Lorelei is really into unicorns, so I attempted to make her cupcakes look like unicorns.  Lilly's cupcakes looked like dogs.  They opened presents and then the next day we had a pool day.  It was a fun weekend!
