God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Holiday Celebrations

This Christmas season was so wonderful.  We loved being able to celebrate old traditions with Liam and start some new ones as a family of three.

We started the Christmas celebration with my dad and his wife the Saturday before Christmas.

On Christmas Eve Dave and I took Liam to the hymn service at church, which was a first for us.  We usually attend the candlelight service.  Liam sang along to many of the hymns.  After church we celebrated with the Hermans.

Grandpa Herman made Liam a potty chair, which he loves.

Dave's sister Julie made all the girls beautiful scarves.

After celebrating with the Hermans we got in the car and drove up to my parent's house in Michigan.  We arrived at 1am on Christmas morning.  We opened our Christmas Eve presents, which were pajamas (plaid of course), and then snuggled into bed.  The next morning we opened presents, ate goodies, and played with our new toys.

Liam didn't quite make it through the morning's activities.  He snuggled right up with Uncle Remi and went to sleep.

While Liam took his nap we set up all the toys he received (and boy did he get a lot).

One of our presents was tickets to a Redwings game in February.

We stayed in Michigan the whole week.  We played several games of Settlers of Catan.  Liam broke in all his new toys and several of his new outfits.  Dave and I went on a date, which was long overdue.  We  finished off our vacation by celebrating New Years Eve at the Huron River Club.  We had a fantastic dinner.  Because the club began as a hunter's club, there are many stuffed animals as decorations.  Liam found them fascinating.

Liam didn't seem scared of the stuffed Lion.

It will be hard to top this Christmas.  We made many fond memories as a family.  We look forward to all the ways God will use us and bless us in 2011.

  1. Tiffany - I had seen many of these pictures on your facebook page, but it was fun to read the words that link them all together. May this be the first of many wonderful Christmases to remember for your family. :)
