God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
"God's gifts put man's best dreams to shame".

Washington DC, Day #2

Today was our last full day of vacation.  We woke up and headed back into town on the Metro.  We are becoming experts on how to navigate the transportation in DC.  We started the day by visiting the Capital Building.  They have a new visitor center which is really nice.

Next, we took the tunnel to the library of Congress.  We had never been there.  It is an amazingly beautiful building.

We walked past the Supreme Court Building and headed to the bus, which took us to Arlington National Cemetery.  Liam studied John F. Kennedy in school, so we wanted to see his grave.  We also watched the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier.  That is always moving.  Liam really enjoyed watching that ceremony.

We rode the Metro home and had some time with the cousins before bed. Although they are three years apart, Andrew and Liam are good friends.
