God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Palm Sunday & Easter

We spent Palm Sunday at Emanuel and decided to wear our Easter outfits, since we would be in Michigan for Easter.  We figured we'd get some use out of them, and we really wanted a picture in the front of our church.

We went to Emanuel for Good Friday service at 1pm and then drove up to Michigan.  On Saturday we went to St. Paul's for an Easter egg hunt, craft, and snack.  The kids made Resurrection Rolls, which do a great job of illustrating Jesus rising from the dead.  They put oil on a crescent roll, wrapped up a marshmallow, and then rolled the whole thing in cinnamon and sugar.  When they went to eat it, the marshmallow was gone symbolizing the entry tomb.  Saturday night the kids spent time with Grandma while Dave and I went on a date.  Then, on Sunday we went to church at Prince of Peace church with Rick and Anna, had lunch together, looked for eggs, and the kids got Easter baskets.  It was a fun weekend.

I wanted to get Mom flowers and couldn't find any pre-made ones that I liked, so I arranged my own.
