God has been gracious to us and has been with us through our journey of love and life. He has carried us through some of the most difficult times and has given us joy in the midst of sorrow. He has also been loving and given us abundant blessings. Most importantly, He has provided us with faith. May we share that faith with others.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
"God's gifts put man's best dreams to shame".

Chicken Dinner Fundraiser

    Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Our adoption fundraiser was a huge success.  We are continually amazed with God's provision through this adoption process.  We are also humbled by the generosity of others. We feel very loved and know Lilly will feel the same.  We raised enough money to cover our hotel costs while in China!  This is just another reminder that God equips those He calls to do His will and He uses the body of Christ (our family) to accomplish it.
Thank you doesn't quite seem like a strong enough expression to convey our feelings of gratitude.  Please know that we are thankful from the bottom of our hearts!  We are especially thankful for Benjamin & Christine Castens who helped sell tickets - in a creative and fun way.  They have shown us from their actions what friendship is.  They are Christ's hands and feet.  We also are so thankful for our parents.  How in the world would any of this be possible without them?  Mom and Dad Herman helped sell tickets and literally preached to the choir.  They also took care of Liam on the day of the fundraiser, so Dave and I could focus our attention.  Mom and Dad Kusch drove down for the day to help serve meals.  We know it was a long day in the car, but we appreciate it.  Besides, they pull off aprons really well!
Now that we are done fundraising we are focusing our attention on the travel portion of the adoption.  We're getting closer!
